Well, one good thing to come out of all this coronavirus pandemic is a return of drive-in movie theaters in South Florida. I've only been to one in my life, and that was as a child but it was a fun time.
The newest drive-in movie theater is located outside of Dezerland Park, one of the biggest amusement parks in South Florida. The park will host movie nights every Friday night through July 3rd. There are a few restrictions like cars will be spaced far apart in the parking lot and only 150 cars are allowed in at a time. As usual, the sound from the movies will be pumped in through car radios. You can bring snacks, but they'll also take food orders with a phone app and deliver to your car.
The Swap Shop in Ft. Lauderdale is also bringing back their drive-in movie theater starting today, however, the flea market will remain closed. Concession stands will not be open. For movies and showtimes go here.
