Yesterday marked the most deadliest day in Florida and Miami-Dade County due to the coronavirus. In just one day, 72 people died in Florida, and 34 people died in Miami-Dade County. In total, 571 people have died statewide from COVID-19.
The state also saw a 300+ increase in confirmed cases of COVID-19, bringing it to 21,628 - and that number is expected to increase.
Researchers at John Hopkins University say that Miami-Dade is the 12th county in the country with the most coronavirus cases.
Looking at the numbers, it's important that we all continue to practice social distancing and wearing our masks. Although you may not be experiencing symptoms, you could have it and pass it to someone who is immuno-compromised.
