Study: Miami Millennials Are Moving By The Thousands

Somehow, Will Smith's early 2000's hit 'Welcome To Miami' is not hitting with millenials like it used to. A new study shows that more millennials are moving away from Miami than those that are moving in.

The study done by Smart Asset didn’t give any reason as to why, but some could easily guess it’s because of high rent and 'brain drain'. The study uses information from the census and looks at migration patterns. So far this year, 2000 millennials have moved to Miami and over 6,000 have left.

In 2018, Miami came in at No.5 with the biggest net losses of young people leaving.

But don't worry, Miami isn't the only big city losing it's young people, New York City and Chicago are seeing losses too.
